Advanced
Treatment of Opiate Dependency
The
Waismann Method sm of
Rapid Detox maintains its
leading position in treating
the disease of opiate physical
dependency and sets the
standard by which other
treatments are measured.
We are committed to changing
the way the world views
drug dependency. It is no
longer a hidden and shameful
disease of the stereotypical "drug
addict," but rather a medical
disease caused
by a legitimate chemical
imbalance.
The
Waismann Method of detoxification
Under Anesthesia utilizes
the most advanced medical
techniques available for opiate
dependency. Patients are treated
with the highest level of
professionalism, dignity and
respect. We are located in
Orange County, So. California;
where we receive patients
from all over the world weekly. We
are usually able to admit
patients into our hospital
7 days a week.
The
procedure takes
place in a full
service hospital to
provide the close monitoring
and access to additional
medical services
or specialists that
may become necessary. Patients
are admitted the day before
the procedure for a complete
medical evaluation.
Patients
are transferred to the intensive
care unit (ICU) to provide
close monitoring. Once patients
are appropriately sedated
and pre-medicated, they are
put under anesthesia for 60-90
minutes, and an acute withdrawal
is precipitated with medications
to block the opiate receptors
in the brain while the patient
sleeps comfortably. This
medically induced withdrawal
is controlled and closely
monitored by either Dr. Bernstein
or Dr. Lowenstein, both Board
Certified anesthesiologists
who are nationally recognized
for their expertise in the
use of the Waismann Method. During
the anesthesia, patients feel
no discomfort, and have no
memory of the acute withdrawal
once they awaken.
Patients are
monitored under our care
at our hospital to stabilize
their mental and physical
condition. Usually patients
are discharged at least
24-48 hours or when authorized
by our physicians.
We are
proud to offer our patients
the best medicine has to
offer for
opiate dependency…
The major
difference between the Waismann
Method and other medical detoxifications
is the safety, comfort
and success of our
patients.
Every patient
has a different medical and
dependency history, and we
treat them
as individuals with
specific needs. Our
doctors will not treat a patient
with out at least 24 hours
of observation, pre-medication,
and pre-examination. Pharmaceuticals
are the main tool used to
achieve the desired result;
we need to understand how
each patient react to medications,
so we can use the appropriate
ones to safely achieve our
goals of detoxification.
Different doctors
in the US have tried this
procedure in surgery centers
or even offices in order
to save on costs. Consequently
safety standards are saved
as well, compromising
results and well being
of patients.

Opiate Addiction
Opiate addiction and dependency is a physical disease, one that can be overcome by utilizing advanced medical techniques.
According to the National Institute
for Drug Abuse, there are more than 1 million people dependent on opiates in the United States and that number is rising. Some of the reasons include the large number of Americans, from baby boomers to the elderly, who are getting hooked on pain medication for chronic pain.
Traditional opiate detox programs
have a success rate of less
than 20% after the first year.
These statistics are even grimmer
two years after treatment. Popular
alternative treatment methods,
such as methadone clinics, have
significant drawbacks. For one,
the number of Americans seeking
methadone treatment far exceeds
the number of openings at government-approved
treatment clinics. As a result,
most clinics have long waiting
lists. What's more, methadone
takes nearly a month to clear
the addict's system, compared
with a week to 10 days for other
opiates, including heroin.
Rapid Detox from Opiate Addiction
Traditional, ineffective drug
detox programs are a thing of
the past. The Waismann Methodsm maintains
its leading position in treating
the disease of opiate physical
dependency and sets the standard
by which other treatments are
measured. Thanks to this trailblazing
rapid detox treatment program,
patients have a greater than
65% to 74% chance of maintaining
an opiate-free life based on
one-year research.
If you or someone you know is suffering from a dependency to opiates or an addiction to prescription painkillers such as OxyContin, Suboxone (Buprenorphine), methadone, Vicodin, Darvocet, Percocet, hydrocodone or any other opioid, the specially trained Waismann Methodsm staff is ready to provide a no-risk, no-obligation confidential consultation.
